The System Integrator is responsible to lead Electronics Subsystem product development in the Cooker Platform. The SI owns all electronic and electrical developments within one of the Cooker product categories and they are the key interface between electrical design groups (hardware, software, wiring harness) and the non-electronics teams such as production, laboratory, procurement.

Job description

  • Utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Work on system engineering problems, collaborating closely with a team of Software Engineers, Electrical/Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Motor Engineers, and Harness Engineers located globally.
  • Own and manage project delivery scope, requirements, timing and cost.
  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes.
  • Determine interface requirements for electrical/electronics system on the product.
  • Support the System Architect to define system architectures: electrical, mechanical integration.
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirement.
  • Ensure and drive subsystem development including; FMEA’s, Verification, supplier sourcing, verification and design release.
  • Define and manage Interfaces requirements for all electrical sub-systems.
  • Partner with Project Managers to plan and execute technical design reviews with engineering leadership.
  • Ensure definition, execution and verification of System Validation Plans.
  • Maintain broad awareness of technical trends to ensure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work, and reviews and responsiveness to customer/program needs.
  • Provide timely status and communications for development progress, milestones and significant issues.
  • Provides local D2D support regarding electrical & electronics issues for manufacturing, quality, other platform subsystems, to ensure production continuity.

Requirements

  • Master's in Electrical Engineering field preferred, but will also consider mechanical, mechatronics, robotics or automation backgrounds.
  • Minimum of 3 years electrical product development experience involving with some experience of systems engineering or system level design.
  • Embedded systems, electrical and Mechanical Systems Integration, and/or electrical design.
  • Proficiency in English both spoken and written.
  • Proficiency in analysis of problems related to EMI/EMC, Standards compliance and Safety.
  • Experience creating and approving design, analysis, development, and verification documentation.
  • Ability to work in global product development environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
  • Appliance industry control system design experience is a bonus but not essential.
  • Rational Tools knowledge (DNG/RTC/RQM) is a bonus.
  • Advanced problem solving including Six Sigma/Black Belt certification is a bonus.
