Good/high level of competence and knowledge in the industrial automation field, mechanical design of equipment’s and automatic tools.
Ability to solve moderately complex and articulated problems.
The candidate will be responsible for product design or parts design, respecting time, costs and following the defined project specifications.
Mechanical design activity, following the development and modeling equipment’s/tools phases both autonomously and in collaboration with the team.
Preparing the project documents: layouts, assembling instructions, shop drawings, bills of materials.
Analysis and test validation looking for technical solutions, product continues improvement.
Elaborate design solutions related to product specifications, aimed at optimizing design times and costs, prototype and series production times and costs, coordinating during the project development with the electrical/software/systems teams and with planning, supply chain and manufacturing departments.
Collaboration with supply chain and suppliers to identify systems, sub-assemblies, components and critical parts suitable to achieve project targets, also through codesign activities.
Collaboration with documentation team to realize customer support manuals.
Collaboration with operations to support prototype/tools & systems realization and troubleshooting of mechanical and automation issues.
Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project.
Visits to suppliers/customers to verify the solutions adopted or to define the resolution of any problems.
Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automation.
Experience industrial automation and precision mechanics design (minimum 3 years).
Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following tools: Solidworks, Solidedge, Creo, Catia V5, Inventor, Unigraphics NX, Autocad;FEM skills and reference tools.
Attitude to teamwork (for complex projects development).
Multifunctional approach - electronic and mechanical (mechatronic).
