Position Description:

As an order engineer, you prepare and review Engineering data, perform engineering studies and related calculations, coordinates cross functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external) and establish schedules for fulfillment of standard and custom pump orders.

Our modern R&D center in Budapest serves as a key resource in the research and development of Flowserve’s innovative product solutions.

In addition, you:

  • Provide logistic, technical and operational support to warranty and field support functions, day-to-day technical support within the Flowserve facilities, and interface with customers, and vendors to achieve company goals;
  • You provide the most accurate and thorough engineering data for customer orders (e.g., Bills of Materials, manufacturing process data and capabilities, and general alignment to Flowserve standards and customer requested specifications).

Position Requirements:

You are our ideal colleague if you…

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • Have 2-3 years of relevant experience with rotating Equipment Engineer, especially in the pump industry and related sectors;
  • Have knowledge and use of CAD software with emphasis on 3d model creation from 2D drawings;
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material drawings;
  • Can communicate in English at least on intermediate level;
  • Can demonstrate a self-starter attitude with the ability for seeing efforts to completion;
  • Have knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices;
  • Have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills with a preference toward formal problem-solving tools (e.g., A3, 8Q, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.);
  • Have ability to detail production drawings and manufacturing instructions as required for customer components and "engineered-to-order" products, as assigned.
