This role is a global design engineering role where the scope of the team includes electrical sub-systems and components for GE offshore wind turbines. The purpose of the job will cover from conceptual design and functional specification to testing, validation of the different electrical systems of GE offshore wind turbines.
In this role, you will deliver engineering designs/requirements, execute business critical New Product Introductions, drive cost competitiveness, and ensure world class subsystem performance of the biggest offshore Wind Turbine up to date. You will work together with Supply Chain, EHS, Operations relevant stakeholders among others, to deliver the best solution from a whole value chain perspective.
The range of components spans to Auxiliary Systems like IP-Phones, IP-Cameras, Weather station, small Transformers, Internal Power Supply & UPS, Electrical Cabinets (LV Switchgears), Lighting System & Aviation Lighting system (beacons), Power sockets, Arc Flash Guard system, Fire Protection system, Lightning & Grounding systems, sensors and cable harnesses. Active support into the Communications Network Architecture, Safety system and in the Input/Output requirements capture from other teams.
